For the last 4 years we have held a Come and Play String Day in January so this year we went online. We were joined by new and familiar faces and even had 3 generations in one family for the Libertango, which we play at the beginning of all our string days. After we had warmed up Helen Harrison, our MD, guided us through some of the tricky and interesting corners. We then split into breakout rooms to meet our section before returning to play Tchaikovsky's glorious Serenade for Strings.
Hopefully we will be able to meet in person for next year's string day but in the meantime we are enjoying coming together to play online.
