String Day 2026 - an absolutely fantastic day
This year marked our 10th year of holding a Come and Play String Day and it was a wonderful day of music making. Conducted by our guest conductor, Felicity Cliffe, we started the day with a run through of the three pieces. As has become tradition we warmed up with Libertango and then played through Adrienne Spilsbury’s Suite No 1 Movement 3. Mahler 4!
This was our first, but hopefully not our only, come and play orchestral play day. We welcomed players from far and wide including Sussex, Lincoln and Liverpool as well as some of our own players. It was a fantastic day playing a fabulous work. Spooktastic Halloween Prom
Wow! What a spooktastic afternoon we had at our Halloween Prom at Blackpool's majestic Grand Theatre. It is such a privilege to play there. Members entered into the 'spirit' of the event coming in a fantastic range of halloween themed costumes. Which was your favourite?
